Must Have Jeep Diecast Models
Whether you have been collecting jeep diecast models your whole life or are just starting out, there is nothing more exciting than adding a new diecast jeep to your collection.
Just like the jeep saying, “It’s a jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand” most people just don’t understand why someone that has long grown up goes around collecting what they consider to be toy jeeps. So it’s true, they just don’t understand. I found a nice little collection of jeep diecast models at a site called The California Jeep Authority. They currently carry 7 different kinds of diecast jeeps.
The first one that they carry is the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Brush Fire Diecast Model. It’s a 1:18 scale of a nice looking 2003 Jeep Rubicon all set up to head into the back country and start helping the fire fighters beat down those tough to get to fires. This Jeep comes with an axe, shovel and even a chain saw. The tailgate, hood and the doors all open just like the do on a real jeep. This Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Diecast Model measures a full 9 1/2" long, 5 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" tall.
The next jeep diecast model that they have is the Jeep Rescue Concept Vehicle. In 2004 Jeep came out with the Jeep Rescue as a concept car and called it the Ultimate In Off Road Vehicles. Jeep hasn’t made the decision yet to build the Jeep Rescue but you can one today as a jeep diecast model. The Jeep Rescue Diecast comes in a bright yellow and is 9” long, and 5” tall. As with the Rubicon Brush Fire, the doors and hood open and the wheels roll as well. If jeep ever does decide to build this incredible vehicle I’m sure it will be one of the best selling jeeps ever second only to the Jeep Wrangler.
Next up is what I think is the best of the Jeep Diecast Models around. It’s the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Diecast Model. This special edition jeep diecast is a beautiful red and black jeep with the top removed and has the name Rubicon on the side of the hood. I’ve always liked the Rubicon the best as it’s the first Jeep Wrangler that came stock with Dana 44 front and rear axles. Looking at the picture of this jeep you would swear that it was a real jeep. This is a 1:18 scale jeep made by Maisto and would be a great addition to anyone’s diecast collection. It is around 8” long and 3 ½” wide. When you open the doors and hood of this jeep you will be amazed at the detail that went in to making this beautiful jeep model.
Here is another red and black Jeep Wrangler diecast that is similar to the one above but this one has a hard top and is lifted with nice all terrain tires. It comes with the same level of detail as the one above and comes in all black as well. This Jeep Wrangler Diecast Model is in 1:24 scale and is 7 1/2" long, 3 1/2" wide and 3 1/2" tall. If you know a collector of jeep diecast models and you’re looking for the perfect jeep gift than you can’t go wrong with this one.
Here is another Jeep Wrangler model that is lifted with the all terrain tires but this one comes with the top off ready for some fun in the sun. It comes in black and red and is 1:24 scale and about 7 1/2" long, 3 3/4" wide and 3 1/2" high. As with all of these diecast models it also has a hood and doors that open and this one comes with Diamo rims and is made by Jada toys.
For those of you that like the older military jeeps here is a Jeep Willys DiecastModel. The Willys is the jeep that was used by the military during WWII and was the life line between the fighting units on the front line and the supplies that they so desperately needed. It is painted the traditional army’s olive-drab and comes with two duffle bags, spare gas can, a shovel and axe that is mounted on the side and reflective red tail lights. It is 1:32 scale and is 4 1/2” line and 2” wide.
