If you like to tinker around with the repair and maintenance on your Jeep, a Jeep service manual is the first thing you absolutely must buy yourself. The one thing that the entire Jeep community would agree upon is that there is nothing quite as satisfying as making your Jeep purr. Of course, to ensure that it makes all the right sounds you need a Jeep service manual. A good service manual should include detailed technical information for all the repairs you could possibly want to carry on your Jeep. It should ideally include information on disassembling your Jeep, engine rebuilding, transmission and clutch, transfer case and overdrive, axle rebuilding and upgrades and frame, suspension and body repair. The service manual should also cover topics such as steering and brake service, electrical and ignition system upgrades, fuel and exhaust systems and accessories and safety equipment. If you can actually find a service manual that includes illustrations, pictures and diagrams of what you need to be looking for then pick it up without a second thought. If you are still wondering whether you really need a Jeep service manual, think of all the expenses you'll save in repair and maintenance. Hiring a mechanic to do your repair work and the maintenance on your Jeep can be an extremely expensive affair. Unless you make six figures per annum at least, you really don't want to be set back by that much. It would be much cheaper and far more enjoyable to carry out the repairs yourself, using a trusty service manual. The service manual will not only educate you about what needs to be done and how, it may even teach you a few tricks on upgrades so you can have even more fun on the next trail run. So go out and buy yourself a jeep service manual if you don't already have one!
