Why I Built This Site

The site www.Best-Jeep-Guide.com came about because of my love for Jeeps and the desire to share that love and knowledge with others.

My love for Jeeps actually began with my first four-wheel drive vehicle; a 1972 full size Chevy Blazer. I know; what in the world does a Chevy Blazer have to do with Jeeps?

It all started when I was out for a weekend of four wheeling with my friends, when the trail that we were on became very narrow and took some very sharp turns. I was driving my Chevy Blazer, and my friends were all driving Jeeps.

It only took that one time of sitting there for almost 4 hours while everyone else went on to explore the trail ahead that I knew that a Jeep was the only way to go.

Like a little kid at Christmas

I still remember the feeling I had on the day I bought my first Jeep. I can only compare it to being a little kid on Christmas morning and waking up to find that special toy that you had always wanted sitting there under the tree.

Now, whether I'm going on a weeklong hunting trip, going fishing for a few days, or just heading up to the mountains for a weekend of camping, my Jeep will always be a part of my trip.

A new hobby?

In a way, owning a jeep is like having a hobby. It's not only something that you love to do, it's also something you love to share with your friends and family. I also wanted to go beyond that and share my love of jeeps with everyone that I could.

This gave me the idea of building a Website where I could share my love for jeeps with anyone who also shared that same love. The only problem with that idea was that with my past experience of building Websites, it seemed like a bigger obstacle then I would be able to overcome.

Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome. Booker T. Washington (1856 - 1915)

A friend of mine was able to show me how I could overcome that obstacle and not only build this Website, but to do so without any prior experience.

The beginning of Best Jeep Guide.com

I started Best Jeep Guide.com in November of 2004 and it has become a new and exciting hobby of mine that allows me to have fun while sharing my love of jeeps at the same time.

I have been pleasantly surprised of how much fun and enjoyment building this Website has brought me. It has also allowed me to make some great friends along the way.

I even earn some extra money with my site that allows me to buy cool things for my jeep and to also enjoy my greatest passion of all, (camping.)

HEY! I think I may have just found a new idea for my next Website.

Anyway, I hope that you have gained as much from this Website as I have being able to share it with you.

Be sure to drop us a line if you have any ideas on how we could improve your experience with us.

If you would like to know more on how I was able to build this site, please visit Site Build It to see how I was able to take my Passion for my jeep and be able to share it with you.

You can also see how others just like you and I have used SBI to start a new hobby/business from something they already love to do.

To take a sneak peek behind the scenes of Site Build It, you can take a look at the Site Build It Blog page.

Thank you for having an interest in how Best Jeep Guide.com came to be.

Best Regards
Mark Neustedt
